Battery & Energy Storage Tech Europe congress to debut in Barcelona

The inaugural edition of the Battery & Energy Storage Tech Europe congress will take place on September 8 and 9 at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona. Organized by Fira de Barcelona, the event aims to connect industry leaders, researchers, public administrations, and sectoral entities to address the challenges of energy storage.

The congress is expected to host over 100 industry actors and more than 70 international experts from energy companies, battery manufacturers, and technological centers. The program will focus on key strategic areas including industrial and emerging applications, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technologies, recycling and second-life battery use, new chemistries, next-generation technologies, policy, regulation, and financing.

This initiative seeks to support the European energy transition and industrial competitiveness within a sector valued at approximately 58 billion euros. Key speakers include representatives from EDP Renewables, Neoen, Basquevolt, and the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI).
