Battipaglia hospital reopening delayed until mid-November
The reopening of inpatient services at the Santa Maria della Speranza Hospital in Battipaglia has faced further delays. Following previous rescheduled dates of October 10 and October 19, full operational capacity is now projected for mid-November.
Johnny Ricca, deputy provincial vice-secretary of Lega Salerno, criticized the continuous postponements, stating that the health of citizens should not be subject to a constantly changing calendar. He noted that the delays are attributed to pending construction work and required sanitization procedures.
Ricca called for the Asl to provide a detailed, department-by-department schedule for the reactivation of services and emphasized the need for transparency and organizational capacity to support the Piana del Sele region.
