Battipaglia hosts Next Gen Under 19 Women's basketball tournament

The city of Battipaglia is hosting the first stage of the second edition of the Next Gen Under 19 Women's tournament from November 12 to 15. Organized by FIP and LBF, the prestigious event features twelve of Italy's top youth basketball talents.

The tournament has expanded its format to include three qualification stages before a Final 8. This ensures each team plays at least eleven matches in a round-robin style. Defending champions GEAS Basket Academy and the SSN Team Next Generation are among the top contenders, alongside teams such as Reyer Venezia, Basket Costa, and Magnolia Campobasso.

Matches will take place at the PalaZauli and the local Tendostruttura. The event marks a significant step for youth basketball development in the region, with subsequent stages scheduled for late 2026 and early 2027.
