Battle Beast introduces Marina La Torraca as new vocalist

Battle Beast bassist and founding member Eero Sipilä and new vocalist Marina La Torraca have discussed the band’s recent lineup transition following the departure of longtime frontwoman Noora Louhimo.

In an interview with SDTV – Stonedead Festival, Sipilä revealed that the recruitment process was rapid due to the urgency of pre-booked shows. The band did not utilize a shortlist of candidates; instead, guitarist Joona Björkroth identified La Torraca, and the band moved quickly to secure her.

La Torraca described joining the group as ‘a big honor’ but noted the intensity of the transition, mentioning that she was ‘thrown in the lion pit’ with an immediate Asian tour and a demanding summer festival season involving heavy travel and minimal rest.
