Battlefield 6 Season 5 to feature Las Vegas and Area 51 maps

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have announced Season 5 for Battlefield 6, scheduled to launch on October 13, 2026. The update marks the beginning of the game's second year of content and introduces three new maps, including combat scenarios set on the Las Vegas Strip and within the desert and underground tunnels of Area 51.

Key features of the update include six new weapons, two new vehicles, and gameplay adjustments to balance infantry and vehicle combat. The season also features updates to existing maps, Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City. Additionally, the free-to-play mode REDSEC will receive a new 'Rapid Royale' variant, designed for faster and more intense Battle Royale matches with a reconnection mechanic.

A recent gameplay trailer has also sparked speculation regarding a potential crossover with the Dead Space franchise, following visual cues that suggest the presence of the 'Marker' artifact and related themes.
