Battlefield 6 launches Dead Space crossover event

Battlefield 6 has launched a limited-time crossover event titled ‘Convergence’ in collaboration with the Dead Space franchise. The event, which began on October 20, is scheduled to run until November 10.

A central feature of the event is the ‘Marker Incursion’ mode, a 16-player cooperative PvE experience inspired by the Rush game mode. In this mode, players work in teams to fight waves of AI-controlled ‘Marked Soldiers’ and destroy Marker Shrines to neutralize a primary Marker.

The event takes place in a non-canon setting located in an underground facility beneath the ‘Area 51’ map. To enhance the atmosphere, developers have integrated original assets, textures, and models from the Dead Space remake. The development of the event was supported by Motive, the studio responsible for the 2023 Dead Space remake.
