Battlefield Studios announces Season 5 updates for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC

Battlefield Studios has announced significant gameplay updates for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC as they enter Season 5, marking the beginning of their second year of content.

For Battlefield 6, changes focus on infantry positioning and vehicle combat. Key updates include revisions to vehicle health regeneration and damage to reward better infantry tactics, a more technical anti-aircraft system, and improved weapon animations and attachment systems. Vehicle balancing will also include adjustments to the Little Bird’s area damage and secondary turret fire rates.

REDSEC updates for the Battle Royale mode include improved matchmaking skill bands, a reconnection feature for players experiencing crashes or disconnects, and a guided drop zone system to assist new players. Additionally, armor application speeds will be increased, and class abilities will receive tactical enhancements. The studio plans to continue releasing new content for both titles through 2027.
