Battlestate Games reveals Escape From Tarkov roadmap through 2026
Battlestate Games has released a development roadmap for the first-person extraction shooter Escape From Tarkov, outlining five major updates scheduled through the end of 2026.
In September, update 1.1.5 is expected to introduce a ranked system and a rework of the Lighthouse map, alongside updates to the Lightkeeper task chain. Following this, update 1.2.0 is slated for late September or early October, focusing on the PvE mode with improvements to AI behavior, bot spawn systems, and the introduction of a prestige mode.
Later in October, the game will undergo a significant engine upgrade to Unity 6, which aims to enhance performance and update vegetation. This period will also include a Halloween event. The year will conclude in December with the 1.4.0.0 update, marking the launch of Season 2. This major release is expected to introduce a new location called ‘End of the Line’ and a new boss named Povodyr.
