Batu City hosts launch of Perintis Berdaya Connect for MSMEs

The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment has officially launched the Perintis Berdaya Connect (PBC) program in Batu City, East Java. Launched by Coordinating Minister Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar on August 26, 2026, the initiative serves as a collaborative space to connect MSMEs, creative economy actors, and cooperatives with government programs and business partners.

Rather than constructing new buildings, the program optimizes existing government facilities, including the Integrated Business Service Center (PLUT KUMKM) Batu, the Batu Creative Hub, and the Batu Creative Economy Committee. This model is a replication of a successful pilot program previously implemented in Bandung, which supported hundreds of businesses and facilitated numerous capacity-building activities.

Minister Muhaimin Iskandar stated that the PBC aims to act as an aggregator, helping MSMEs scale up and strengthening the creative economy ecosystem. The program is designed to adapt to local needs, with the government serving as a regulator, facilitator, and bridge to business access.
