A new promotional poster for the partition drama *Batwara 1947* was released on July 30, featuring actress Kanikka Kapur alongside Karan Deol. Viewers on social media noted that Kapur’s appearance – a floral suit, light brown dupatta and minimal makeup – closely resembles Bollywood star Kiara Advani, prompting a wave of comments and speculation that the image may have been digitally altered.

The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, reunites Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta and also stars Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol and Kanikka Kapur in key roles. At the recent trailer launch, Santoshi recalled that the late actor Dharmendra had watched *Batwara 1947* shortly before his death and gave the project his blessings.
