Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed receives award and swears in local chairmen

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has received the ‘outstanding governor of the Year 2026 Award’ from Business Times Magazine. The award, presented in Lagos, recognizes his leadership and contributions to state development and innovation.

Separately, Governor Mohammed swore in 20 newly elected local government chairmen following the victory of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in recent polls. Describing the APM's success as a warning to opposition parties, the Governor stated that the results signal strong public acceptance of his administration's policies. He highlighted achievements in infrastructure, security, healthcare, and agriculture, while cautioning the new chairmen against the mismanagement of public funds.
