Bauchi Police arrest three vigilantes following man's death

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested three members of a vigilante group following the death of 39-year-old Abdulrazak Ibrahim. The incident occurred at a vigilante office in the Bakin Kura area of Bauchi Local Government Area while Ibrahim was being questioned regarding a theft complaint.

Police Commissioner Sani-Omolori Aliyu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the death and warned against “jungle justice” and extrajudicial actions. An autopsy is expected to determine the cause of death, and the remains have been moved to the ATB Teaching Hospital mortuary.
