Bauhaus automates Krefeld warehouse with XYZ Robotics' Rocky robots

Bauhaus AG has partnered with XYZ Robotics to fully automate the goods‑receiving process at its central warehouse in Krefeld, Germany. The solution uses XYZ Robotics' RockyOne and RockyOne SE mobile manipulation robots, which autonomously unload containers, scan barcodes, sort items and palletise them into shelf‑ready loads. The Krefeld facility processes thousands of inbound shipments each day across more than 10,000 SKUs, and the automation has cut manual lifting, improved operational consistency and reduced injury risk. Torsten Winter, Vice President Operations (Warehousing & Transport) at Bauhaus, said the system runs reliably around the clock without manual intervention and frees staff for higher‑value tasks. Since its launch in 2026 the system has operated continuously and autonomously, and XYZ Robotics is using the deployment to expand its European footprint to other warehouse operators.
