Bauhaus expands retail presence in Sweden and Germany
The DIY retailer Bauhaus is expanding its presence in both Sweden and Germany. In Sweden, the company has opened a new 11,000 m2 specialist center in Östersund, Jämtland. This new location brings Bauhaus's total number of stores in the country to 25. The facility features a dedicated sauna section and a 1,100 m2 ‘Stadtgarten’ for garden and terrace products, employing over 40 staff.
In Germany, Bauhaus has reopened a location in Gelsenkirchen. The site includes a 3,200 m2 garden center and has integrated premium workwear from Engelbert Strauss into its permanent nationwide assortment following a pilot phase. Additionally, the company has entered into a premium partnership with the football club FC Schalke 04, a contract that runs until 2028.
