Bauhaus reopens large-scale store in Gelsenkirchen
The home improvement retailer Bauhaus has reopened a location in Gelsenkirchen, marking its return to the city after nearly 20 years. The new branch, located at Grothusstraße 22, opened on September 24, 2026.
The facility covers more than 13,000 square meters and offers a selection of over 50,000 products, ranging from building materials and sanitary installations to garden supplies. The expansion aims to serve both private customers and professional tradespeople in the Ruhr region.
To celebrate the opening and emphasize local connection, the store is offering a limited edition Navimow i2 AWD robotic lawnmower featuring a special FC Schalke 04 design with red tires and blue-and-white colors. The opening event also included a promotion where customers who brought wheelbarrows could participate in a sweepstakes for vouchers.
