Bauli implements new automated palletizing system in Italy
Italian bakery manufacturer Bauli has implemented a new centralized and automated palletizing system at its facility in Castel d’Azzano. The project, designed by Uteco Contec, utilizes Interroll’s Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP) technology to manage material flow and end-of-line logistics.
The new system is designed to handle up to 2,000 product cartons per hour, allowing the facility to manage seasonal production peaks for products such as Panettone, Pandoro, and Colomba cakes. The installation covers over 2,500 square meters and includes four anthropomorphic robots that identify, transport, and distribute various packaging types—including American-style closed boxes and visual displays—onto different pallet types, such as Euro, industrial, and Dusseldorf pallets.
