Bavarian Labor Minister Ulrike Scharf promotes dual apprenticeship training

On June 10 2026, during Bavaria’s Day of Vocational Training, Labor Minister Ulrike Scharf highlighted the importance of the dual apprenticeship system. She toured companies in Lower Bavaria, including Klein Kommunikationstechnik GmbH, BMW AG and MIPA SE, speaking with trainees, trainers and management.

The minister said, “Eine gute Ausbildung ist der Start in ein selbstbestimmtes Berufsleben,” stressing that engaged skilled workers are essential for craft, industry, services and social professions. The Bavarian government aims to strengthen dual training through cross‑sector actions, the “Allianz für starke Berufsbildung in Bayern,” and the BOBY (BerufsOrientierungBaYern) online portal that offers comprehensive information on career orientation.

The event underscored the state’s commitment to secure a future supply of qualified professionals for Bavarian businesses and regions.
