Bavaria weather: Heavy rain warnings issued for southern regions

Southern Bavaria is experiencing a seasonal weather shift characterized by heavy rain and cooler temperatures. The German Weather Service (DWD) issued warnings for heavy rain on Friday morning, specifically affecting several districts including Augsburg, Aichach-Friedberg, Günzburg, Fürstenfeldbruck, Starnberg, Weilheim-Schongau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Ostallgäu, Unterallgäu, and Oberallgäu.

Following the morning showers in Swabia and western Upper Bavaria, conditions are expected to stabilize. The forecast suggests a transition toward more pleasant, sunny weather with temperatures ranging between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius. While some areas may experience fog or low clouds overnight, the upcoming weekend is expected to bring more sunshine to much of the region, with temperatures potentially reaching up to 24 degrees in Lower Bavaria.
