Bavarian apprentices and district top students honored in local ceremonies

At a ceremony on 31 July 2026 in Höchstädt an der Donau, the Bavarian Association of Garden, Landscape and Sports Field Construction (VGL Bayern) recognized three landscape‑gardener apprentices – Luis Rainalter, Max Mischke and Benedikt Martin – for their outstanding exam results. The event, attended by regional chairman Josef Bullinger and local officials, marked the graduation of 59 new gardeners, including 32 in garden and landscape construction and 27 in tree nursery training.

A day earlier, on 30 July 2026, Landrätin Tanja Schweiger honored the best middle‑school graduates from the Landkreis at the district office. Twelve girls and four boys, who achieved grade point averages up to 1.5, received book vouchers and personal commendations. Among the awardees were Jeanette Weiß, Lena Krieger, Martin Landstorfer and Charlotte Hopf, representing schools in Alteglofsheim, Neutraubling, Schierling, Wenzenbach and Wörth an der Donau.
