Bavarian County Tourism Guides Highlight Regional Attractions

The Landkreis Regensburg released a new holiday magazine, "Ferienregion Regensburger Land," on 21 May 2026. The free print guide features more than 100 leisure and excursion suggestions—ranging from castles and museums to canoe trips, fishing spots, beaches, and cycling routes such as the Five‑River Trail and Via Nova. QR codes link readers to market information and local eateries, and the magazine is distributed at the district office, municipalities and trade fairs.

In the neighbouring Landkreis Augsburg, a series of articles spotlights five panoramic locations, including the Bismarckturm at Steppach, the Panoramabad in Dinkelscherben, the Müllberg near Gersthofen, the St Thekla pilgrimage church in Welden, and the Ulrichshöhe in Königsbrunn. The pieces aim to encourage residents and visitors to explore Bavaria’s natural, cultural and culinary offerings close to home.
