Bavarian Farmers Host Educational Goat Tours and Agriculture Day

Maria Frisch runs a goat farm on the Waginger See in Upper Bavaria, offering guided goat walks for families, school groups and tourists. The visits combine hands‑on interaction with goats, explanations of animal husbandry, regional food production and the cultural heritage of the Chiemgau landscape.

In the Pegnitz area, the Bayerischer Bauernverband and a local interest group revived the Tag der Landwirtschaft after a four‑year pause. The event was held at the Strobl family’s organic farm, Fischlhof, in Heroldsreuth and featured an ecumenical harvest thanksgiving service, farm tours, product tastings, children’s activities such as a straw trampoline and grain bike, and demonstrations of traditional crafts and beekeeping.
