Bavarian Music Council rolls out jazz festivals in Ansbach and Amberg

The Bavarian Music Council is expanding its jazz programming across Bavaria. In Ansbach, the long‑running Jazztime concert series continues with events such as the open‑air performance by the Stephanie Lottermoser Quartet on 8 August and a free‑entry Jazz Kneipenabend on 24 October, featuring multiple venues throughout the city. Plans also include future concerts in 2027, like the Platen Bigband meeting the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Meanwhile, the council’s Jazzarise festival will be held in Amberg from 10 to 25 October, offering a mix of concerts, workshops and interactive formats at locations including the Stadttheater, the Luftmuseum and the Ringtheater. Highlights feature a kick‑off on the market square and sessions at the Musikomm and the “Phase”. Both festivals aim to foster sustainable local jazz scenes and provide platforms for regional artists.
