Bavarian Players Win €868,052 Each in Eurojackpot

On July 3 the Eurojackpot draw awarded two ticket holders from Bavaria the second‑prize amount of €868,052 each after matching five numbers and one Euro number. A third Bavarian player won €139,868.80 in the third‑prize class (five numbers, no Euro number), sharing that sum with winners from two German states, Sweden, Finland and Norway.

The top prize was not hit, so the jackpot grew to €23 million for the Tuesday draw on July 7, still well under the €120 million ceiling. Eurojackpot draws are held twice weekly in Helsinki under police supervision; each ticket costs €2 plus a handling fee, and results are transmitted to the control centre in Münster for verification.
