Bavarian Red Cross lottery wagon retires from Allgäuer Festwoche

The Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) lottery wagon, known as ‘Glückshafen’, has completed its final appearance at the Allgäuer Festwoche in Kempten. A staple of the festival since its inception in 1949, the wagon provided entertainment while supporting social causes through lottery sales.

Due to the age of the vehicle, the lottery stand has reached the end of its service. While the tradition has lasted 75 years, the future of the attraction remains uncertain as organizers consider how to proceed.
