Bavarian schools recognized in consumer education competition
Several Bavarian schools have been recognized for their achievements in the ‘Verbraucherschule Bayern’ (Consumer School Bavaria) competition, which focuses on practical consumer education topics such as finance, sustainability, and media literacy.
Gymnasium Neutraubling has successfully applied for the title of ‘Partnerschule Verbraucherbildung Bayern’ for the third time for the 2026/27 school year. Student projects included a video on food purchasing decisions—emphasizing origin and seasonality—and a podcast exploring the risks and opportunities of cryptocurrencies.
At Stiftland-Gymnasium Tirschenreuth, class 8c received an award for their podcast regarding inflation. Following their win, the students used a portion of their prize money for a class outing and donated the remainder to Kinderkrebshilfe Nordoberpfalz to support children with cancer and their families in the region.
