Bavarian towns Haar and Putzbrunn face major road works and traffic disruptions

In Haar, Bavaria, a new district‑heating pipeline will be installed under the B304 starting 3 August 2026. The work will be carried out in three two‑week phases, after which the State Construction Office will close the road for full reconstruction until mid‑November, diverting traffic onto the B471 and imposing one‑way detours.

In the neighbouring municipality of Putzbrunn, the local building committee has rejected a proposed €1.6 million roundabout at the Am Einfang junction, citing low traffic volumes. Mayor Michael Schultz said the existing intersection is sufficient for pedestrians and cyclists. As a result, the investor behind the planned ten‑house development is reassessing the project's financial viability.

Both projects illustrate how local authorities in Bavaria are balancing infrastructure upgrades with cost concerns and traffic management.
