Bavarian towns host sales‑open Sundays on July 19 and 26, 2026

On Sunday 19 July 2026, a series of sales‑open Sundays will take place across Franconia and Bavaria. Towns including Langenzenn (Fürth district), Feucht (Nürnberger Land), Heilsbronn (Ansbach), Beilngries (Eichstätt), Wunsiedel (Kulmbach) and Zeil am Main (Haßberge) will allow retailers to open their doors despite the usual Sunday ban. A second sales‑open Sunday occurs on 26 July 2026 in the town of Rain. The traditional Jakobimarkt runs from 09:00‑18:00, with shops opening 13:00‑18:00 and a flea market operating 09:00‑14:00 on Schlossstraße. The Lachner‑Museum will be open 10:00‑12:00. To ensure safety, both the Haupt‑ and Schlossstraße are completely closed to traffic from 05:00‑20:00, with barriers and a coordinated security plan involving local authorities.
