Baveno library launches evening program for youth

The Olga Ginesi Civic Library in Baveno is launching the second year of ‘Biblioteen’, a program designed specifically for adolescents aged 14 to 19. Starting October 16, 2026, the library will hold weekly evening sessions every Friday from 20:30 to 22:30.

The initiative aims to provide a safe, welcoming community space where young people can gather to read, play, or socialize. Proposed activities include tabletop games, narrative role-playing games, manga, and dedicated relaxation areas. The program is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to suggest new activities and help shape the meeting calendar.

Emanuele Vitale, the Councilor for Tourism and Culture for the City of Baveno, stated that the library serves as a community space where youth should feel at home. The project is promoted by the Department of Tourism and Culture in collaboration with the Azimut Social Cooperative.
