Bay Area cities Livermore, San Ramon and Danville hold contested local elections

Livermore voters will choose a city council mayor and several council members on Nov. 3. Mayor John Marchand and District 1 councilmember Evan Branning run unopposed, while District 2 councilmember Ben Barrientos faces newcomer Narayan Tadimeti. Three at‑large seats on the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District board are open for the first by‑trustee election, with candidates including Tara Boyce, Stephen R. Orgain, Angela M. Brady, Deborah "Debbie" Gibson and others.

In neighboring San Ramon and Danville, additional contests are set. Danville’s at‑large council seat vacated by Karen Stepper and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District Area 1 seat left by Jesse vanZee have filing extensions until Aug. 12. Incumbent Danville councilmember faces no challenger, while San Ramon councilmembers Marisol Rubio and Richard Adler each confront last‑minute opponents. Mayor Mark Armstrong also faces two challengers, Paschalis Ntatsos and Emma Chigbu. SRVUSD trustees Rachel Hurd and Susanna Ordway are up for re‑election, with Hurd opposed by Joel Woods.
