Bay Area Science Center announces August 2026 event calendar

The Bay Area Science Center has announced a series of upcoming educational and nature-based events scheduled for late August 2026.

On August 28, a seminar in Berkeley will cover redox-responsive molecules and nanomaterials, focusing on molecular design principles for organic energy storage and chemical sensing. Other activities include a sunset walk at Bair Island in Redwood City and an after-hours tour of the Lick Observatory at Mt. Hamilton.

On August 29, events include a bird walk at Point Pinos led by Amanda Preece and a Science Saturday program in Monterey County featuring activities related to local habitats such as redwoods, kelp forests, and grasslands.
