PGA Tour's Baycurrent Classic heads to Yokohama, Japan

The PGA Tour returns to Japan for the 2026 Baycurrent Classic, held from October 8 to 11 at the Yokohama Country Club. The tournament features an $8 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.

Defending champion Xander Schauffele enters as a favorite alongside top-ranked Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa. Local star Hideki Matsuyama is also a key figure, with his caddie Shota Hayafuji potentially making a comeback following a hiatus due to injury. Matsuyama has also been involved in supporting amateur golfers through the Hideki Matsuyama Amateur Challenge.

Other notable participants include Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Stephan Jaeger. Taisho Pharmaceutical is serving as a top sponsor for the event, highlighting its official marketing partnership with the PGA Tour.
