Bayer Indonesia launches FARMRISE digital platform for farmers
Bayer Indonesia has introduced FARMRISE, a digital platform designed to provide Indonesian farmers with access to information, learning materials, and agricultural guidance from planting through harvest.
Launched during the SOBAT Bayer Jamboree in Malang, East Java, the platform features tools such as ‘Belajar Tani’ for cultivation materials, weather information, and an ‘Anti-Counterfeit’ feature to help farmers verify the authenticity of Bayer products. The company also plans to develop an ‘AI Crop Doctor’ feature using artificial intelligence to identify plant issues and provide recommendations.
Auzan Baiquni, Bayer Crop Science Manager for Indonesia and Malaysia, stated that the technology aims to support better decision-making by providing reliable and relevant field information. The initiative aligns with the growing number of millennial farmers in Indonesia, who represent approximately 21.93 percent of the national farming population according to 2023 data from BPS.
