Bayer launches AI predictive tool for Moroccan farmers
Bayer Crop Science Maroc has introduced ResiYou, a new digital tool designed to help fruit and vegetable producers predict crop protection product residue levels before harvest. Presented at a Food Safety Seminar in Agadir, the solution aims to assist farmers in meeting strict food safety, traceability, and quality standards required by their target markets.
The tool utilizes artificial intelligence models to analyze and cross-reference multiple data sources, including field-collected residue data, meteorological information, and estimated crop biomass evolution. By projecting residue profiles up to the time of harvest, ResiYou allows producers to evaluate whether their crops will comply with specific commercial destination criteria.
Additionally, the platform enables users to compare different scenarios and assess how various crop protection practices impact expected residue levels. This capability allows for identification of specific plots that meet the requirements of particular markets, aiding in harvest planning and commercial management. The tool currently targets fruit and vegetable production, with specific applications for crops such as tomatoes and strawberries.
