Bayer Leverkusen players face injury concerns after Sevilla friendly

Bayer Leverkusen players Montrell Culbreath and Robert Andrich sustained injuries during a 2-1 preseason friendly victory against FC Sevilla.

Montrell Culbreath, an 18-year-old U19 international, suffered a foot injury following a challenge during the 35th minute of the match. He was forced to leave the arena on crutches, and the club stated that "diagnostics for Culbreath are not yet complete" as further examinations are scheduled. His injury will prevent him from participating in the start of the new season.

Robert Andrich also left the match after being substituted due to muscular discomfort in his right thigh. However, the club has provided a positive update, stating that an MRI conducted on Sunday "ruled out a relevant injury." While Andrich will undergo individual training and treatment, he will miss the team's upcoming trip to England for matches against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
