Bayerischer Rundfunk announces programming changes for Bayern 1 and Bayern 3

Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) is implementing significant programming and personnel changes for its radio stations, Bayern 1 and Bayern 3, effective September. The restructuring aims to strengthen the stations' respective profiles and expand digital offerings.

On Bayern 1, the morning show from 5:00 to 9:00 will be hosted by Marcus Fahn and Philipp Eger, who will alternate weekly starting September 7. Ulla Müller will shift her focus to the 'Bayernmagazin' at 5:00 PM, alternating with Christine Rose. Additionally, Claudia Conrath will move from Bayern 3 to host the morning slot from 9:00 to 12:00 on Bayern 1, alternating with Melitta Varlam. Jerry Gstöttner will also join the Bayern 1 team, replacing Achim Zeppenfeld, who is retiring.

The changes are designed to leverage the strengths of each station, with Bayern 1 focusing on reliability and personality, while Bayern 3 invests in established duos and entertainment across radio and social media channels.
