Bayern defender Jonathan Tah condemns football agents, praises Pini Zahavi

Bayern Munich centre‑back Jonathan Tah criticised the conduct of many football agents, saying they often prioritize their own interests over those of players. Speaking on the Tim Gabel podcast, Tah described agents as “pretending to care” while making deals that can reduce a player’s earnings, adding “I can't stand it.” He recounted his own experience signing his first professional contract with Hamburger SV at age 17 and witnessing unfair clauses. Dissatisfied with the lack of authenticity in the industry, Tah chose to work with renowned agent Pini Zahavi after contacting him directly, valuing mutual trust and transparent communication.

Tah’s comments highlight ongoing concerns about the relationship between players and agents in professional football and aim to bring greater scrutiny to the practice.
