Bayern Munich and Olympiacos face disciplinary controversies

Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has criticized Michael Olise following the player's dismissal during a match against Viking. After Bayern overturned a 2-0 deficit to lead 3-2, Olise received a second yellow card for throwing the ball at an opponent's face. The match ultimately ended in a 3-3 draw. Kompany described the action as ‘incredibly stupid’ and a ‘completely unnecessary’ act that will result in Olise missing the upcoming Champions League fixture against Arsenal.

In Greek football, Olympiacos has expressed strong opposition to the summons of manager Imanol Alguacil by the Permanent Committee for the Combatting of Violence (DEAV). The club argues the summons regarding a social media post featuring a stadium choreographic display is unjustified, claiming the image did not incite violence. Olympiacos further characterized the move as a ‘motivated prosecution,’ directed toward Panathinaikos and its ownership.
