Bayern Munich defeats Freiburg in Bundesliga matchup

Bayern Munich secured a 3-1 victory against Freiburg at the Europa-Park Stadion during the seventh matchday of the Bundesliga. Dayot Upamecano and Serge Gnabry provided a two-goal lead for Bayern before halftime. Upamecano opened the scoring following a defensive block and a successful counter-attack, while Gnabry scored his 100th Bundesliga goal shortly before the break.

Freiburg managed to reduce the deficit late in the match through an own goal by Tom Bischof. However, Michael Olise secured the win for Bayern with a goal in stoppage time. Despite the loss, Freiburg has shown strong form earlier in the 2026/27 season, maintaining a high goal difference and strong defensive statistics.
