FC Bayern Munich signs Morocco midfielder Ismael Saibari

FC Bayern Munich has secured the transfer of Moroccan international Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. The move follows Saibari’s decisive goal in Morocco’s 1‑1 draw with Brazil at the World Cup, which raised his profile and prompted Bayern to act.

Negotiations between the clubs were protracted, with PSV initially demanding more than €60 million. Bayern, led by sporting director Max Eberl and coach Vincent Kompany, eventually agreed on a fee reported to be around €55 million. Saibari completed a medical examination in the Moroccan training camp in the United States, after which the transfer is expected to be formalised.

The player, 25, signs a contract running to 2031 and is projected to add depth to Bayern’s midfield, fitting the club’s tactical plans under Kompany.
