Bayern Munich expects Harry Kane to extend contract before next season

Harry Kane's contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire next year. Former Bayern star Lothar Matthäus said in a media round that he expects Kane to sign an extension before the start of the upcoming season. Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß has called Kane the club’s best transfer, highlighting his 61 league goals and 146 goals in 147 official matches since joining from Tottenham in 2023 for a reported €95 million fee. While Barcelona has shown interest, the club believes the striker feels at home in Munich and aims to retain him for future domestic and European success.

Matthäus also commented on other Bayern targets, such as Michael Olise, emphasizing the club’s focus on sporting value over pure financial considerations.
