Bayern Munich leaders discuss Haaland interest and UEFA schedule

Bayern Munich leadership has addressed both player transfer speculation and concerns regarding the international football calendar. President Herbert Hainer commented on the possibility of signing Erling Haaland in the future. While Hainer noted that the club currently possesses a strong attack with players like Harry Kane and Michael Olise, he did not rule out Haaland as an option in a few years, particularly if Manchester City faces significant sanctions following financial investigations.

Separately, Honorary President Uli Hoeness criticized UEFA, labeling the Nations League format the ‘joke of the year.’ Hoeness expressed frustration over the congested fixture schedule, arguing that the heavy demands of national team commitments negatively impact club players and disrupt their rhythm. He urged clubs to better defend their interests, noting that clubs, rather than national teams, bear the financial responsibility for player salaries.
