Bayern Munich prepares €25 million offer for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford

Bayern Munich is reported to be readying an opening bid of about €25 million (approximately £21.5 million) for England striker Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United. Manchester United is said to be seeking a higher fee, close to €30 million, to fund its rebuilding plans and reduce Rashford’s wages.

Rashford’s loan spell in Spain ended with 14 goals and 14 assists, helping Barcelona retain the LaLiga title and win the Supercopa de España. Bayern’s interest includes positive talks with Rashford’s representatives, and the German champions are preparing a formal proposal. If Bayern’s offer does not materialise, other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea have been mentioned as possible suitors.
