Bayern Munich seeks record contract extension for Michael Olise

Bayern Munich is preparing a record-breaking contract extension for French winger Michael Olise to secure his future amid interest from elite European clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool. The club aims to extend his current deal, which runs until 2029, through 2032.

Reports indicate that the new proposal could make Olise the highest-paid player in Bayern Munich's history, potentially increasing his annual salary from approximately €14 million to between €25 million and €30 million, surpassing current top earners Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.

A primary point of contention in the negotiations is the inclusion of a release clause. Olise and his representatives are reportedly seeking a clause to allow for future movement, while Bayern Munich seeks to maintain control, with discussions revolving around a potential buyout figure exceeding €200 million.

Bayern President Herbert Hainer has publicly stated that the club is in a “position of strength” and is under no pressure to sell its players, emphasizing Olise's importance to the team's long-term project.
