Bayeux family gains attention sharing routine of son with malformations

A family in Bayeux, Paraíba, has gained significant social media attention after sharing the daily routine of their one-year-old son, Gabriel Esdras, who was born with multiple malformations.

Gabriel presents with craniofacial malformations, including turricephaly, as well as dysmorphia in his hands and feet. Following a medical evaluation, a geneticist has requested further investigation into a possible chromosomopathy. Medical records also indicate neurodevelopmental delays, necessitating ongoing multidisciplinary care and stimulation.

The family faces financial challenges. The father, Michel Augusto, has limited work capacity due to an accident in 2016, and the mother, Rita de Cássia, left her job to provide full-time care. Their primary income currently comes from the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) provided to their six-year-old child, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. The family's online presence has created a support network of followers and other parents facing similar diagnostic challenges.
