Baykar and T3 Foundation unveil T3 Gemstone O1 autonomous system processor

Baykar and the T3 Foundation have jointly developed the T3 Gemstone O1, a compact, high-capacity processing unit designed for autonomous systems. Despite its palm-sized dimensions, the card features a 4 TOPS AI accelerator capable of performing 4 trillion operations per second.

The device integrates multiple components onto a single board, including a processor, AI accelerator, motion sensors, barometer, and CAN FD. This integration aims to reduce the need for separate hardware, minimize cabling complexity, and decrease weight in autonomous platforms. It is designed for use in unmanned aerial, sea, and land vehicles, handling tasks such as image processing, signal processing, and motor control.

Technical features include high-speed data transfer capabilities, an M.2 2280 NVMe slot, and Raspberry Pi-compatible 40-pin GPIO and camera connections. Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar stated that the T3 Gemstone O1 utilizes open-source software and open hardware architecture. The card will be made available to educational institutions and young developers, specifically targeting TEKNOFEST teams and students for the development of robotics and unmanned systems.
