Baylor soccer defeats Oral Roberts 2-1 to close non-conference slate

No. 17 Baylor women’s soccer concluded its non-conference schedule with a 2-1 victory over Oral Roberts. The win marks Baylor’s fifth consecutive victory and brings their non-conference record to 7-1, the program’s highest tally under head coach Michelle Lenard.

Grace White opened the scoring in the 41st minute with a header following a corner kick from Olivia Hess. Oral Roberts managed to equalize in the 80th minute when Brianna Castleberry converted a set piece after a yellow card. However, Aryanna Jimison responded quickly, scoring a header in the 81st minute to secure the win for the Bears.

Goalkeeper Azul Alvarez recorded five saves for Baylor, while Oral Roberts goalkeeper Alyson Sebban made seven saves in the loss. Baylor will next begin Big 12 conference play against No. 8 West Virginia.
