Bayoumi Fouad reveals health struggle with shingles
Egyptian actor Bayoumi Fouad has shared details regarding a recent health crisis involving shingles. After a period of absence, Fouad revealed that he was hospitalized for eight days following a period of intense physical pain.
Fouad noted that his condition was initially misdiagnosed as a colon issue, which led to his initial hospitalization. The correct diagnosis of shingles—an immune-related condition triggered by the varicella-zoster virus—was discovered by chance when skin symptoms appeared. He described the experience as extremely difficult due to the severe pain affecting his skin and nerves.
The health setback caused delays in the filming of the movie ‘Hiroshima’, in which Fouad stars alongside Ahmed El Sakka and Mai Omar. Fouad has since expressed gratitude to the medical staff and his colleagues for their understanding, confirming that he has resumed his artistic activities and is following a treatment protocol.
