Bayraktar AKINCI drones down over 10 Chinese CH-95 drones in Sudan

The Bayraktar AKINCI, a Turkish-made unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) operated by the Sudanese Army, has reportedly downed more than 10 Chinese-made CH-95 drones used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan.

Recent reports indicate that an AKINCI successfully engaged and neutralized a CH-95 near Nyala. These air-to-air engagements, which have been occurring since mid-2026, highlight the evolving nature of the Sudanese conflict where unmanned systems are being used against one another in direct combat.

Technical details suggest that the AKINCI has utilized ROKETSAN-produced EREN missiles to conduct these strikes. While the exact number of downed aircraft has not been officially confirmed by the Sudanese Armed Forces, open-source intelligence and social media footage suggest the total number of neutralized Chinese-made CH-95 and FH-95 drones has exceeded 10 as of September 2026.
