Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV successfully tests long-range supersonic missiles
The Bayraktar AKINCI Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) has successfully completed critical firing tests for new long-range munitions. In a recent test conducted over the Black Sea, the AKINCI utilized the IHA-300 supersonic ballistic missile to strike a maritime target with precision at a distance exceeding 250 kilometers.
Additionally, the platform has demonstrated successful integration and precision strikes using the ROKETSAN-produced IHA-122 ammunition. These tests highlight the AKINCI’s expanding operational capacity to engage targets in maritime environments, enhancing its role in naval defense and long-range strike scenarios.
Baykar continues to expand the AKINCI’s arsenal, which already includes various guidance kits and munitions such as the MAM-L, MAM-T, and IHA-230. The company reported significant commercial growth in 2025, reaching an export volume of $2.2 billion, with 90% of its revenue derived from international markets.
