ASELSAN tests electronic warfare systems on Bayraktar TB2
ASELSAN has successfully demonstrated integrated electronic warfare (EW) and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities on Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The live trials, attended by defense delegations from 18 countries, took place in Konya, Türkiye.
The demonstration utilized three specific systems: the ANTIDOT 2ES 100 electronic support pod, the ANTIDOT 2EA 200 electronic countermeasure pod, and the FULMAR 200 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) pod. During the tests, the ANTIDOT systems detected and geolocated target radar emitters, allowing the UAV to perform electronic attacks and use Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) techniques to disrupt radar tracking.
In a coordinated operational cycle, the ANTIDOT system shared target location data with the FULMAR 200 pod, which then generated high-resolution SAR imagery to precisely identify the target. These tests mark the first time the ANTIDOT system has been tested against real radar systems on the TB2 platform, showcasing a unified cycle of detection, electronic attack, and high-resolution imaging.
